Hi, I'm Jill. Since the age of 4, I have loved to read. I've immersed myself in many genres, getting to know characters, authors, new worlds, and new ways of thinking.
Along my journey through fiction and nonfiction, blog posts, and novels, I've gained the ability to read critically. I've developed strong opinions about structure, voice, grammar, plot, and more--all the elements that make a piece of writing work.
In my career in the nonprofit space, I've written numerous articles, press releases, marketing emails, newsletters, grant requests, and website copy. In my personal life, I've written poetry for children and short stories for adults. Serving my Sharp Blue Pencil clients has given me additional experience with website copy, marketing strategy and implementation, job application documents, book editing, and video scripting.
